The Gallery is a new contemporary venue for artists specializing in the art of photography and other fine art mediums. The Gallery solicits Artists who desire to exhibit work and expose their creative talents to a multitude of art lovers who visit the gallery weekly. The Gallery will provide exceptional and professional displays, advertisement, climate control, insured, and secured environment for the art while providing ample opportunity for the public to view the artist's work.

Call for entries will be open to photo clubs, individual photographers, artists working in other mediums; nationally and perhaps internationally. This will occur monthly or every other month. The gallery will be selecting "Featured Guest Artists" for group or solo exhibits.

Guests Artists, & Member Artists, local to Maryland, and Shereen, exhibit some of their

Masterpieces in Photography, Oil Paintings, Mix Media, Glass Crafts, & Jewelry.

Every First Saturday of Each Month we join the Frederick Gallery Walk for our Exhibit opening &

Artist Reception 5~9pm. Meet and Greet the Artists.

Call for Entries
Call for entries will be open to photo clubs and photographers nationally and perhaps internationally along with artists who work in other mediums. This will occur monthly. Featured non member artists will be juried and may be selected for group or solo exhibits.
Exhibit Dates:
May 3rd., - July 1st.
SUBMIT 5th-10th every other month

Acceptance announcement is by e-mail on the 12th every other month.
Each member/guest artists can submit up to 6 images for jurying.
Please email 6 samples of work for jurying to:

or call for appointment for review of work. Jury fee is due at time of review.

Submit by e-mail attachment a brief (word document, not e-mail) auto-bio describing your work and inspiration. Also submit the inventory list of each item.

Size each thumbnail to less than 1 megabyte. (i.e., 4” x 6” by 300dpi) Using this guide you should be able to render about a 700kb image.

A Non Refundable jury fee of $35.00 will apply at time of image sample submission, and 40% sales commission goes to gallery.

Frames must BE WOOD OR METAL AND have wire for hanging, no saw-tooth hooks.
 

GUEST ARTISTS

GUEST ARTISTS are able to exhibit their work. “Call for Entries” will occur monthly or every other month and will be open to photo clubs and photographers nationally and (perhaps) internationally. Artists specializing in other art mediums are also welcome.

GUEST ARTISTS will sell only work of their own creation and must attest to this fact.

GUEST ARTISTS jury fee is $35.00 for up to 6 pieces. Above 6 will be charged $5.00 per piece. 40% sales commission goes to gallery after credit card processing fees deducted by merchant bankcard services. (if sale is made with credit card)

 Jury fees are due at the time of sample submission.

Meet and Greet the artists. Share stories and experiences. Enjoy refreshments, and buy art.

Artist Receptions will occur the 1st Saturday of each month. All artists are required to be present at receptions.

All members and guest artists should invite as many people as possible. Your invitee may be inclined to buy your work. Artists displaying must be at the reception to mingle with visitors.

 

Shereen's Statement:

My personality is embedded in my work, bright, bold and fun. Most of my images are not as they were seen but the way that I would like them to be seen. 
I believe that people every now and then need a place where their minds can escape to. Some people choose art as that place of escape, so it gives me great satisfaction and joy to be able to contribute to this world of peaceful escape. My Fine Art Gallery can be that place. Therefore artist who share my vision in taking their creativity beyond the traditional are welcome to apply for membership with Shereen's Exquisite Fine Art Gallery
 

About the Artists

Owner and photographer Shereen Kopp says, “I use cameras as tools to give life to my desire to create beautiful things which, when created, should be seen and used for the soothing of one’s eyes and the daunting of one’s mind.”

Mixed-media sculptor Cardew Evans says, “I produce art because I feel my soul come alive.” Shereen Kopp adds, “I also find photographing flowers, water reflections, and architectural structures enjoyable, yet the overwhelming need to transform them into abstract or surrealist art is finally more appealing…I feel the need to see and experience things in ways that differ from the normal.”

Photographer Christopher Fowler adds, “Although I have pictures from as far afield as Hawaii, on the one hand, and Finland, on the other (and his work here includes large-scale photographs of the Grand Canyon), the bulk of my subjects have come to be from the area here around Frederick County.”

The show also includes photographs by Lester LaForce whose work has proven to be a favorite with the walk-in customers.

Oil Painter Peter Plant’s goal is to explore media and techniques that enhance the creative experience while presenting realistic images to the viewer. Pearlescent inks, Sharpie markers, watercolor pencils and colored pencils have all found their way into his art.
His plein air work focuses on how history has influenced our lives today. Peter is intrigued by the interplay of history, human intervention, and nature that can be found in the landscape. His creativity is sparked by exploring new ways to bring the beauty of everyday existence to the eye of the viewer.
 

Oil Painter Michael Scott is our newest guest artist. He has just returned to USA from living in Australia for 18 years. Michael has been doing art shows in galleries while in Australia and now has an extensive library of Paintings, even after selling over 40 pieces.

A reception for these artists will be held on First Saturday, 5:00-9:00PM, as part of the monthly First Saturday Gallery Walk.

Shereen’s Exquisite Fine Art Gallery is open Thursday through Saturday, Noon, 7:00 PM, and Sunday, Noon-5:00 PM.
